Musical Therapist

Christian Monroy

Hi, my name is Christian Monroy. I’m a musician, and music has been a central part of my life since I started playing guitar in 2nd grade. It’s grown into a meaningful outlet for me to express myself and process different emotions and experiences, and it’s also opened the door for me to travel and tour around the world.

Right after high school, I began working in the ABA field, where I’ve worked closely with individuals and their families. That experience has helped me develop a strong understanding of behavior, communication, and the value of patience and consistency. It has also had a big impact on my personal life. I’m a father of two, and what I’ve learned through ABA has helped me become more mindful, patient, and supportive as a parent.

As I continue working toward becoming a therapist, I’m especially interested in integrating music into therapy. I believe music can create connections and allow people to express themselves in ways that words sometimes can’t. My goal is to use it as a tool to help individuals work through challenges and build new skills.

This path is important to me because it brings together two major parts of my life: music and helping others. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow, learn, and make a positive impact through both therapy and creative expression.

Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Stephanie Contreras

Hi, my name is Stephanie Contreras. I am a speech language pathologist assistant. I’ve been working with children with special needs since 2007, and it’s something that truly means a lot to me. I studied Communication Disorders at Cal State Los Angeles and earned my SLPA license from Cal State Northridge. I am currently working on my master’s in Special Education online through Arizona State. But more than anything, I’m also a mom to two amazing kids on the spectrum, so this journey is very personal for me.

I understand both the professional side and the real-life, everyday moments families go through. I’m passionate about helping children find ways to communicate their wants and needs, and supporting families as they navigate their own paths. Outside of work, my kids and I love going on little road trips together. I truly look forward to connecting, sharing experiences, and building a supportive community with other families.
